Premier Portfolios: Why was the Premier Portfolio Management Service Direct Custody Service closed?

Following a thorough review of the Premier Portfolio Management Service (PPMS), we concluded

that the Direct Custody Service does not provide the long-term administration solution to enable us to offer an efficient and cost-effective service to our clients. As such, we took the decision to offer the portfolios via selected third party investment platforms only.
